FOUNDVISUALS
I find visuals. The ones I find in my own brain are in the portfolio
and personal sections. The ones I find in the world I call inspiration.
A website of graphic design and inspirations by Andy Greer.
"Find the emotional center" is something I heard Hillman Curtis say when first starting a project. He said (at Flash Forward 2000) that he listens in meetings, and writes down single words that he hears and understands is the customers need, or project goal. Words that describe the emotional center. Then he conceptualizes.
I like to add to Hillman Curtis' philosophy and say "Find the emotional center of the last mile, meaning the end user". Too often we think we are the customer, or the department, boss or the company is the customer. Who is the end user is my first question.
Please leave this site now and watch this film on Milton Glaser created by Hillman Curtis.
